So I got an email and a text letting me know that my mail-in ballot for the California recall election was received, and my vote was counted. So I asked how I can tell if my vote went to the right guy... you know.. in case of ERROR... ya.. ERROR... an accident... of course.

"It is against California Law to serialize ballots in a way that can be traced back to a specific voter. Once removed from the envelope, a ballot cannot be traced back to the voter who cast it."

So this is the case in California... where else is it like this? And WHY? Doesn't that absolutely further invite fraud?

How the heck could they ever audit this vote, if a ballot can't be traced back to the voter? They could just slip in a ballot for you know, that nuisance... instead of mine! If it isn't tied to the voter then how could it EVER be believed to be legit???

I'm assuming it was that way with the presidential election as well.

Seems to me that people should be able to verify that any vote they made went to the candidate they intended.
