It is so obvious how big corporations think they are going to be running this country with biden as their president - boy are they about to get a wake up call and I am happily looking forward to it. I would love to see Walmart go down and go down hard.
I would like them to go down and maybe revert back to the family. I hate to say it but Walmart coming in with their distribution center saved our town. You could not get a job unless you had experience and then the pay was low. After they came in many people even in their 30's(my nephew) got their first job. I could not even find a job cleaning toilets and had to move from town to get experience.
Agriculture. It used to be the alternative than anybody could get hired for.
Corporations ended it about the same time they outsourced everything to China. You don’t get paid for shit in ag today.
If US manufacturing hadn't all been deliberately sold to China for decades, and if liberal junk economics hadn't destroyed the free market, you wouldn't need wal-mart to find a good job and get experience.

I live in the country. It is 40-50 miles to the next bigger city. We have a super Walmart, a Food Lion grocery store, a Piggly Wiggly grocery store, A Tractor Store, a Walgreens and a CVS Drug Store and three different Dollar type stores. NO other stores here in my town. We have NO WHERE else to shop unless we drive to another city. We drive into the city at least once a week. But sometimes I have to shop at Walmart even if I don't like it. I bet there are other rural areas like mine out there. We don't have much of a choice here unless we drive miles away.
Oh and PS Walmart already apologized to him. The response was from a worker not specifically from Walmart themselves.

I would but I am much too old. I am retired. But I would support any other store that does open in the area.

Stopped shopping with them years ago. This was just another reminder of why I don't go there. Please get this out to the rest of the deplorables.
That has to be some upstart kid working in their PR or IT department. Otherwise, I find it hard to believe Walmart, the company, would use its official Twitter to sound like some kid on a playground arguing that he was really home safe in the kickball game.
I haven't used a Walmart for 2 years. Nothing but a Chinese clearing house.
It is tough. My wife tried to do Christmas shopping without buying anything made in China. That was a tall order. Even if you can't be pure, I try to find any other option first, including going without, before succumbing. That can still make an impact. If everyone was able to curtail purchases from these people by even 25%, that will get their attention.
I suspect you are right - this loser will get fired or reassigned. But does it not speak to a culture that this person felt it was ok to do this?
