I think anything emergency services would override anything you set.
Naw, I disabled amber alerts on android and they stopped. Weather too. Only presidential alerts you cannot disable
On iPhone I have everything turned off and I still got a notification last night about how “Governor Gun Grab was imposing “curfews” in north VA
get curfew blocker and maybe it means you can still go out at night

When Trump tested the system like a year ago, my phone preferences were set to not allow emergency alerts. It didn't matter, his test message still came through. I'm sure they have settings bypass capabilities

It didn't used to allow turning off presidential or alerts at that level. It does now allow turning it off.
Open the Settings app. Tap on Notifications. Scroll all the way down. Make sure “Emergency Alerts” and “Public Safety Alerts” are turned on. Think AMBER alerts can stay off if you don’t want those, but may not hurt to have it on just in case.
I have a lot of stuff blocked on my phone too!
Makes me wonder since google and apple control android and iphone respectively, how hard would it be to disable the alerts, unless it's on a hardware level.

That's pretty normal for broadcast tv. They are obviously watching PBS.
? What did it say? I just saw some counties listed and what looked like a timeframe of an hour? Was this just some sort of standard weather alert for that area? I saw a heavy fog alert for that area online, for tonight, but that's about it.
don't have cable TV so don't get any FCC broadcast licensed stuff to know if its being tested on wide scale basis

TV is only one platform. It will come through your phone as well. Radio, too. Possibly other platforms that I'm thinking of as well

That sound went off several times last night on my phone when DC set their curfew for 6pm and when Virginia set most of Fairfax County curfew also for 6pm at 6pm. That was nice of them.
How is anyone going to get this if nobody has cable any more? Radio? Internet doesn’t broadcast this

In which case they were literally testing to make sure it hasn't been disabled.
