My Nephew saw similar things, he also saw the police open the fences and allow 'some' people in. He and his Wife were gassed, we happened to be texting him right after, told him to wash his face with milk and leave.
He did, he got out before the bad shiite went down, took the train back to Baltimore and flew home to Texas. They were accosted a couple times by BLM terrorists as they travelled tho, fookairs were waiting on trains and such.
He saw different groups, BLM terrorists with bullhorns in back, armored groups in front and then rockets and people pushing thru.
At least one of those groups was white hats tho, hiding among the BLM terrorists.
The Enemy is always on site to do battle, Patriots have to match that Battle mentality or stay home.

I've combed through some of my footage and there's some absolutely hilarious stuff, but also saw a lot more stuff too. Quite a few groups of people dressed up like they were on a mission.
I was also on the capitol steps - didn't notice the signal flare - but I did notice a small contingent with gas masks, goggles, everything you wear for a typical night out.... It was odd to me - made some eye contact with one of them and we just stared at each other for several seconds, felt weird. They didn't 'feel' like maga folks. Probably a little after 2pmish.
I did notice on the top of the stand/scaffolding (front right) there with a guy with a megaphone that was an antifa plant. He was calling for people to move forward, to "fill the bleachers"... and soon fully was inciting violence "This is not a protest this is the real thing. Forward!" He was antifa, planted early in the day as part of the operation. There was also a guy on the ground facilitating. Some of us moved closer while remaining fully peaceful, despite the incitement and our anger over Pence's betrayal.
I was on the left bleachers and saw a similar thing, I watched a guy produce a crowbar out of his armor carrier with one smooth motion, and was trying to shout down at the people on the ground level - "They killed a woman. This is no longer a peaceful protest. Grab your weapons and go!"
It was super weird and obviously forced. No one responded to him.
I’m glad you made this post because those were my impressions too. I had no idea tear gas was being used, I just thought someone had brought fireworks. Haha, even as it was burning my lungs I thought it was just a smoke bomb. It was a very mild event until the very end.
I also saw those lines of men pushing aggressively to get to the front. One line was led by a guy giving a political speech which at the time I thought sounded memorized. And way too grandiose for the mood of the crowd. “THESE ARE THE TIMES THAT TRY MEN’S SOULS” type stuff if delivered by an overly dramatic doof in the high school drama club.
Also, I did see several guys with army surplus style gas masks, and not long before things went south, they pulled out fresh disc cylinder things (the filter?) and popped off the plastic protector seal caps. They screwed them into the mask and I thought to myself that they were taking things way too seriously/were larping. Didn’t notice where they wandered off to but felt out of sync with the mood of the crowd.
From the get go, people on megaphones were urging people to move up to the front (even though there was nothing to see up front). Thought that that was weird because I kept thinking we were missing someone who was about to speak. If we had been closer, I guess these things would’ve made more sense because I saw none of what was going on at the fence.

I was literally next to these people. Absolutely wild. I don't know why I didn't notice how out of place it was. I think it's because I spent time on TDW and figured some folks would show up like that haha.
I’m not saying they were all plants, no disrespect to true patriots, but there was an odd amount of cosplayers in the crowd. I saw guys dressed up like minutemen, a couple in Ben Franklin type gear, and another guy in Roman Senator attire. They could’ve been legit but after seeing the cartoon characters plastered all over the news later, it made me suspicious. The guy who took the podium was 5 feet away from us, and I remembered thinking he was way too put together. He looked like the type of dude who uses man creams and takes 5 hours to get ready. Didn’t seem like your average Trump supporter, haha. And it came as no surprise that he was spotted at a BLM protest last summer.
I was close up and got lots of video of the guys wearing helmets, military type vests loaded up with who knows what. One guy stood by me before proceeding forward and his vest had a bunch of long black ties. I wondered what the hell he had those for? When they started trouble up front I realized he made his way up and was one of them. I was on the side of the capital facing the Washington monument, had all that scaffolding. I watched another guy climb the scaffold and pull out a knife and started slicing the covering they had on the scaffold sides. My opinion- Antifa and trouble makers set up the Trump people. It was well planned. And Trump said to be peaceful before we marched to the capital. I left when I saw some tear gas released up front.
I was on the "backside" of the Capital and there was a flare to the Left side of Capital (don't know the direction) that was a "pinkish/purple" color. This was odd but I didn't have on video.

No, it’s a video of McInerny talking about it. But no REAL evidence of this exists that I have seen.
