This is involving owning securities in companies to have been found in connection with the CCP, and it says
"The amendments prohibit certain sales as well as purchases of publicly traded securities, or any securities that are derivative of, or are designed to provide investment exposure to such securities, of any Communist Chinese military company. They also prohibit possession of such securities by United States persons 1 year after a company is determined to be a Communist Chinese military company."
You know these swamp demons are up to their eye balls in CCP related company investments.
Last week if you had told me I'd be on a Q board telling you all that I think you're right, I'd have said you were nuts. But here I am, and I think you all are right.

Haha I love ur username
Thanks, I've been hearing that since 2016 and I haven't shaved once since then.
Welcome to reality, fren. Just wait until you take the ultimate red pill.
I am going to presume a lot of tech firma are gonna see their stock get wiped soon. Short that stock if you can!
I didn't think of that. But notice that it ties up "sale of" so those folks will fuck themselves by selling.
Good on you, pede. Shadilay.

Excuse my simple-mindedness, but doesn't this have the practical effect of making such CCP-related securities essentially worthless? Who would be willing to buy them, if they are contraband in a year? There should be a huge shedding of such stocks, selling as fast as possible, like lemmings chasing each other over a cliff. Talk about divesting!
So, the bad actors who were repaid in Chinese stocks are awakening to the fact that their fortune just turned to dust, and will have to mount a huge sale effort to even get pennies on the dollar. This might be construed as insider trading...
I'd like to know what you think.
Well, for one the EO makes it so it's illegal to have held (now to sell) such securities 1 year after they were determined to be CCP related, it also provides that the secretary of defense can list companies determined to have been CCP linked but not yet disclosed. I'm not an expert in finance but what I take from this is that there may be companies that have been determined to be connected going back a year or two+, which we will soon find out are illegal to own.
To your point, yes this will likely cause a lemming off the cliff scenario where people are looking to dump anything suspect to non existant buyers (because who is going to buy such a thing even if they're not US investors.) But the act of selling such will also be illegal in the US. I have no idea how wide spread this will be, but I wouldn't be surprised if this goes as high up as major US corps like Apple, FB, Twitter, Microsoft, etc, depending on their business connections over seas. Time will tell and I'm the last person who's advice you should hang your hat on since I barely dabble in finance as a hobby.
But I hope I helped in some way.
