The original sect was not Jewish. It was Adam whom we all descend from. Adam was given the 7th day sabbath. Abraham also wasn’t Jewish. Isaac wasn’t Jewish. Jacob or Israel was the father of the 12 tribes. Moses was of the tribe of Levi. From the tribe of Judah came most not all of the Jews including King David and Jesus Christ (Yehoshua HaMashiach).
To answer the question of the original Jews, you probably will want to look into the differences between Mosaic Jews vs Hellenic Jews. The distinction became more stark around the time Jesus came to earth. They started splitting into various factions, Pharisees, Saducees, and the Essenes.
Many are coming to understand that the modern descendants of Israel make up the original people of England, Ireland, Scotland, America, Canada, Australia, as well as some European peoples.

Judaism is a religion that started in Babylon as traditions of the elders, and was codified later in what we know as the Babylonian Talmud. Its followers were bad figs of the house of Judah, Edomites, and all the other foreign peoples in Babylon. Christianity is a continuation of the Covenants established for the Israelite people.
This is false. The true text came from the original that Moses had written which was preserved in proto Canaanite Hebrew. This was preserved for centuries and was eventually translated Into Greek c. 300 years before the Messiah Yehoshua came. The text exists today as the Septuagint. Most bibles today come from the Masoretic Text which was developed 400 to 700 years after the death of Jesus/Yehoshua. This was done by Jews who tried to cover up the Real resurrection of Yehoshua. They even removed and edited references to Jesus being the prophesied messiah as well as remove books that did not agree with their narrative. The Talmud is not a holy book but came from man and Jesus even rebuked those that followed false traditions created by man and not God/Elohim.
