Yes, they were a one of a kind couple. I’ve lived a charmed life. My brother says that the only reason he had friends in school was because he had 10 sisters. Haha
I may as well finish the chain of events... my friend and I used to babysit her niece. A LOT. The baby would come with us everywhere. I had asked her, who’s baby is this? She said, my brother’s. Never met the baby’s mother. That was 1982. Fast forward to 2012, and one of my sisters told me that the baby was actually my friend’s and her brothers baby. It took that long for my brain to even fathom the possibility. We are all wired innocent and I understand now that this great awakening is going to be hard on people. It’s not going to compute with some.
Wow. Do you keep in touch? Are they okay now? I wonder how that baby is doing today. Of course, this is something your sister told you - who knows if she is actually correct. But if she is, just wow. I hope they are all well today. Sad situation.
I could talk with her about anything. This advice came about after I told her my best friend in HS told me her brother used to come into her bedroom at night. Needless to say, I was upset (understatement). Pedophilia and familial incest are real.
Next thing I knew, my best friend was no longer attending school. Never found out what happened to her. Guessing my mom dropped the hammer.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
I've always personally thought that, of course He does, but then He gives us the strength and sanity to handle it. He doesn't limit Himself for us, He expands us for His purposes.
Also, this is coming from a woman who raised 13 kids. 3 boys, ten girls.
10 girls?! Your dad must have been a saint. Mom too.

My Mother used to always tell me “ patience is a virtue”. I’m really trying to follow that advice.
Wow, that would be hard.

Well, actually, God gives you more than you can handle to show you how much you need him and must depend on him.
Feel good saying though!

I've always been pretty anxious, mine used to tell me "everything will be OK". Thanks for the mom reminder.
