I use Brave already. Love it.
Beware of DuckDuckGo.
So what are our options then?
Try qwant. Its built into Brave, just gotta change it
Cool. I'll give it a try.
I heard yippy was good, but I’m having trouble implementing it in brave. It’s annoying
Fuck, I love Duck Duck Go browser. So smooth, snappy, and clean.
DDG is a search engine, brave is the browser.
DDG has a browser, too, fren.
Why beware of ddg? I use qwant righr now on desktop but ddg on mobile

If you don't want the Digital Currency features of brave, use Dissenter, it's based on Brave.
seconded, Dissenter-browser is fantastic!
Agree, Dissenter is a great browser along w/Qwant
Agh no android support only mac, windows, and linux for dissenter.
Been using Brave for over a year now and I like it.
Saw this on ycombinator this morning. I want to look into this protocol when I get some downtime.
Anyway to change the default browser on iPhone?
Settings>Safari>Search Engine then make your selection
What about making brave the default browser? Links still open in safari
Lol idk I honestly just downloaded it after seeing this post..
You can do it, I did. I can’t remember how, but I’ll scroll through the settings and see if I can figure it out. I’ll report back if I’m successful. If not, just know that it’s something that is possible.
Settings>Brave>Default Browser App
