The good guy almost always wins? Well, yes. But what happens before he wins? In almost every action/thriller movie, about 10-15 minutes before the movie ends, it appears as if the good guy is about to lose or has already lost. There is usually some type of insurmountable difficulty preventing the hero from achieving his objective. But, at the last minute, he overcomes this hurdle, finally kicks some serious ass and walks off into the sunset with a victory in hand just before the credits role.
