This is the most important day in their life, one they will remember as old men and women after you are gone. Let them experience the shock, awe, and joy with their peers.
The momentous events of today will echo for a thousand years.
Yeah, I remember being really scared and I asked them why they didn't come get us. They said we lived no where near New York, so there wasn't any danger for us.
I mean, they were right... but still.
Man, I still remember almost everything about that day. I was only 13. I remember all my classes and which ones talked about what was going on and which ones tried to ignore it. I can't believe it will be 20 years in September.
I was already homeschooled by that time so I was dragged over to the TV while my brother was freaking out calling his dad over and over again.
His dad was supposed to fly the second plane but changed spots with a friend last minute. (My brother didn't know the change so he only knew theboriginal Pläne his dad was supposed to fly hence the freak-out)
He felt guilty about that last minute choice for the rest of his life.
ALl PATRIOTS TO STAY HOME TODAY AND WATCH THE SHOW. It will be glorious and historical.
Secondly, if at all possible, consider homeschooling. Schools today are brainwashing propaganda machines.
Ron Paul has a great program on his web site.
I am sending mine. But I am ready to swoop in and get them out at a moments notice. A sort of minuteman if you will. I just want to keep the calm for as long as possible. Godspeed to all
I am not far. We are involved and work in the district, so I'm not worried about comms
or being able to get in. But I totally understand and appreciate the reasons to keep them home. They are your children, and you will do anything to protect them. Thats what we do. Good luck. See you on the other side of this.
Permanent home school. The school system is purely propaganda. If the fake virus taught us anything, is that society can function without a physical school learning structure. Between what you the parent teach them and the information you choose to teach them from the internet there is no benefit to subject the child to false information and indoctrination. Plus, teachers are really dumb (not smart) people. People who cannot do, teach. These are barely functioning adults who are mostly (not all, but most) victimhood driven, liberal, identity politic SJWs...or pedophiles.
Perhaps keep them home in a day of prayer, and thanksgiving? Mine will be home, but I am going to work - also a swing state. Thank you for thinking about what is best, and not being in auto today. It will be a historical day!

Hmm... I skipped school a lot as a kid.
I never even got a truancy charge.
Maybe keep them home today. Schools are usually lenient enough to give kids a few days off for things like funerals and stuff.
EDIT: Though now that I think about it, someone mentioned shock and awe. Could be a memorable and valuable experience if they're old enough to remember.
I was in (pre)school when 9/11 happened. I was still too young to remember most of it though.
No, keep them home today.
Keep. Them. Tadpoles. Home. Today.
SCHOOL SUCKS
Yes send them!

Disagree - shock, etc. will be intermixed with fear. Keep them home and safe.
I wouldn’t send mine anywhere today. Just giving my personal opinion.
Same. We can always pull them out tho. Like they did on George bush’s 9/11
Ugh, my parents made me stay in school the whole day, but I remember a lot of kids got picked up early.

Pretty sure I stayed all day too. I was a freshman in highschool and my dad was working on Ft. Hood. It was a terrifying day.

I'd keep them home. Watch this as a family. They'll never forget it, so make sure you're attached to the memory. :)
no way of getting around the brainswarshing

That sounds like a smart call in your situation?
Our daughter is 4. Thankfully. It had to be tough on Kindergardeners this past year. Hell, school in general was pointless I feel.
We are strongly considering alternatives to public school. Luckily we are in rural TN.

My kids were already walking to school and I changed my mind and brought them home.
Not. There is nothing to be gained by sending your child to school anyway. Keep Jim or her home.

I'm sending mine... Will go pick them up if I need to.
Same.
NO WAY
Next year will be a federal holiday on this day...no school. You might as well start this year.
Give the little ones the day off. Let them sleep in, long and eventful day ahead of them.
I sent my son, but my husband is moments away from him, and will pick him up if that alert goes off. ???
