There is only one issue in American politics right now. Election fraud reform. No more mail-in ballots. No more computer counting machines. Paper ballots. Hand counts. Two observers for every action.

I took it to mean that they were beat to hell over the issue being discussed. In other words, everywhere they went, they heard complaints about the Democrats wanting to defund the police.
