Is this true? It's so hard to find info that I can trust and being an aussie there wasn't much news about it here at the time. Does this mean the millitary isn't going to save us? I just don't know what to believe anymore.

At this point, there are only 2 possibilities: Either the military acts to save America or they don't. There is no third possibility.
I'm giving myself until Feb 21st -- 1 month from the date of Biden's inauguration, and a long enough grace period to see if something good happens. If nothing happens by Feb 21st 11:59 PM, then I'm going to tell myself "it's over" and stop playing this waiting game.
If a nice surprise occurs after that, I'll just be happy and relieved. But until then, I'm done.

No it wasn't like that at all. It was a couple of pedes talking bout what went down in June 2020 with trump, millitary and insurrection act. I know my shills from my pedes. I don't know details of this time so I asked for info. My hopes are all wrapped up in the military at this point so it would be great if anyone has further details on this.

it's not so cut and dry when you are dealing with the military... everyone seems to assume "shit rolls down hill"... but there are operations and parameters and hierarchy that can all clash together. If a lawful order had been previously given to operate until a specified ending time, then that operation will continue no matter who tries to stop it... because it was a lawful order and given prior to any order to stop, that doesn't come from the same authority to start and/or finishing point isn't reached, can/will be ignored, depending upon who is in charge of said operation...
Military is with Trump... one or two may say no but, just look at DC right now... why are more troops still arriving? who called for them to be there? did Trump properly follow steps to be able to call for the insurrection act? Better still, look at the lighting around DC. Biggest tell will be if the Fencing/detention systems are dismantled come monday, as the mayor of DC has called for.
It's a crazy ass ride, wish there wasn't this plot twist, cost me $400... if i had bet with vegas, it wouldn't pay out until March 4th - wonder why???

Remember some of the retired General like Mattis and John Kelly also started bullshitting how unconstitutional it would be, yet these men never said a word when Dubya used it in the L.A. riots. Quite a few generals are outright liars as well as traitors.
I wish he'd recalled some of those Generals back to active duty (especially Hayden) and had them court martialed for their constant sniping under the military code that says they aren't allowed to diss any public officials - especially the C.I.C.
If the Brass don't respect the chain of command, then they shouldn't be surprised if enlisted men start dissing their officers and disobeying orders because they don't agree with the politics. That is what would eventually happen if officers get away with such disrespect.
