Nuclear should be our #1 push until we have a better source. Solar is garbage, wind is worse, battery technology just isn't what it needs to be. I suspect better battery tech does exist, it's just getting little to no funding.

Don't forget about charging and if you have a couple of prolonged outages stopping you from charging then you're SOL
Yeah natural gas is good and if you have to use traditional fossil fuels diesel gets you the most bang for your buck in terms of energy efficiency. What the snooty electric vehicle people don't realize is most of the time, in this country at least, all or a great chunk of their electricity is generated using fossil fuels. Lots of your energy yield gets lost converting it to electricity and then into a battery which is then used by the car. You would create less net emissions just using the fossil fuels as your primary fuel source.

I think John Trump kept those papers close to his heart, hoping some day he would be able to place them in hands that would appreciate them for what they were, and at the same time, be able to promote them for the good of mankind. He didn't have long to wait.
It really shows how dangerous and impactful bad policy can be. Within two years of lifting bad regulations, America was able to become energy independent. Not being dependent on the Middle East enabled it to assert itself when needed, but also pull back from combat roles in the region. If you look at it on a macro level it becomes pretty clear why they put these policies into place. It will only be a year or two until we now have to engage in combat somewhere to secure our energy supply.
This. It's also amazing how many people who think that just because we ban drilling or manufacturing here in the US it doesn't happen elsewhere.
The problem with elsewhere is that they're not as regulated as it is here. Just because the heavy pollution doesn't impact you doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
If we (as a species) had put all the billions that went into nonsense tech like solar and wind into fusion energy research, we'd probably have one of those plants running, by now.
Mining Anon here. I know your point is to support natural gas, not bag on mining. Just want to make it super clear though: IF SOMETHING WASN’T GROWN THEN IT WAS MINED/EXTRACTED.
People want metals, roads, building materials, etc but don’t want mining. Doesn’t work that way.
They use a Diesel engine to produce electricity then to power the electric vehicles. Duh!!!! Elon Musk played y’all on this game. SpaceX is cool though.

Molten salt reactors are completely efficient but creating no nuculear waste means no arsenal profuction.
Almost as if we chose the least efficient nuculear process for a reason.
