It's because Trump hated on Obama for golfing so much, and then when he took office he golfed more than Obama did.

I think the difference is Trump was always a golfer where I don't think Obama was.

Either way I couldn't give two shits how much a president plays golf and never understood why it was such an issue. Presidents make decisions and set policy. Two things that can be done from basically anywhere. Not like he has to clock in at the White House by 8 AM or get written up for being late.
