Scan the local obituaries daily..the rate of deaths in nursing homes is up. They've always been death camps. They kidnap older people and keep families locked into legal battles they cant afford. Lockdowns and back logged courts due to lockdowns exasperate the situation. Been there, living that hell personally right now. Do not ever let this happen to you. And never ket money come between you and your siblings. The laws they use to then milk all children should have been removed decades ago as it was only supposed to be for the elderly generation that never paid into social security. They get to harvest your oarents..and you. It's the root if the high cost of the nursing homes. They have a money harvesting machine going. And it needs to be shut down. I would live to know the ratio of people they take that they claim are being used by the family that care for them w o pay wo being able to work. They are doing it to me. I shut down area agency on aging by using the Q term. "How many times are you going to the well on this before it becomes mathematically impossible to be anything other than money harvesting on your part?" What are the odds that every patient they take that has savings and property do they claim that family is taking advantage? 8 calls to area agency on aging to get help and do a proper spend down went ignored. After my first call every call I made ivrecirded and did in front of witnesses on speaker phone. They're also ignoring I was co owner on moms accounts. They're vile scumbags.
