Hear me out on this; abusers always try to maintain their relationship using dominance. The problem is that it's impossible to maintain a relationship based entirely off of dominance. You have to keep escalating and escalating and escalating in order to keep 'winning' because ultimately you've turned your relationship from a partnership into something that's adversarial. You can't win 100% of the time. And the harder you try to win and dominate your partner, the bigger the loss is going to be when you finally do lose that one time. Just like with an abusive government. Eventually they're going to have to take an L. The more they try to dominate us because they're not willing to compromise or lose ever, the bigger that loss that they're going to have to take one day is going to be.what your witnessing right now from our government is essentially an abusive spouse trying everything they possibly can to keep us from leaving them.
