Because some people have been in on Q since before Santa Clause and don't think about all the latecomers not being up to speed. And they can be arrogant as hell about their knowledge.
It has become an elitist attitude of, "I've researched and learned things. I'm not gonna share them. Do your own research."
It's become a major(and I do mean major) turn off for me, as a newcomer.
If you learned something important, and you hide it, you're part of the problem, and you're just here to boost your ego, by telling people to research it themselves.
