It was built several weeks prior to the inauguration. They did have a small parade in front of the white house and it looked like mostly news stations on the platforms and along the road were police. Not many spectators.
For who? In previous discussions many insisted the press was corralled elsewhere and the 100 attendees were in chairs on the lawn. Also, if so, why not dismantle on the 21st? Why wait almost 10 days?
They are probably using it as cover to install or work on something just below it. Remember when they stripped all the grass off the front lawn not that long ago?
