It's pretty simple. My MIL is trying desperately to wake up but she's fighting herself over it. Her doctor recommended the COVID vaccine and she doesn't believe it's killing people.

Tell her the reason I will not have an untested vaccine because my mom was given thalidomide tablets, for morning sickness, while she was pregnant with me. The only reason she did not take them was because the doctor did warn her that they had not got any proven trial results yet, but the choice was hers.
Boy am I grateful she did not take them! she had another offer when she was pregnant with my sister a year later, but refused.
Taking an untested vaccine is ludicrous! My 32 year old son, who ignores any advice, (even believes that Snopes is an actual true fact checker) opted for the new vaccine trials here in the UK, he has had the first injection already.
I am sad about that but what can I say, I pray he is one that does not get affected by it!

Show her NIH.gov's on website where as late as 01/21/2021 they refer to the vaccine as Experimental Covid-19 vaccine. As her how many other experimental drugs she has taken.
Ask her what experimental means to her. For example, If you make an experimental receipt, using new ingredients you've never tasted, do you know how the dish will taste, or whether it will give you a stomach ache? Suggest that despite the NIH's claim of effectiveness, that this is based on short term assessment. They have no idea what the long term affects will be of this first of it's kind mRNA vaccine.
