I agree. My hope is that part, and the part of him being on the board are just smokescreens to not cause panic selling or create too many questions from the press.

Yep, this is exactly my thinking. Imagine the panic it would cause if he all of a sudden just stepped down effective immediately. Q3 means he can work out things until then and continue to make money while transferring all ownership (and accountability) over to someone else.

Not true. Calendar Quarters and Fiscal Quarters are aligned for Amazon.
