That's pretty much EVERY major supplier of chocolate/cocoa. So, it doesn't matter if you buy from a local maker, or not.
Research will have to be done on the local businesses and small operations to help ensure we aren't buying cocoa/chocolate products sourced from any child enslavement endeavors.
This is beyond ridiculous. These [globalist] Cabal asshats have literally ruined EVERY MAJOR INDUSTRY known to man. [they]'ve done it in a way that almost totally ensures that [they] still turn a profit, no matter if buy local or from small businesses.
I've done some research and found that Ghirardelli, Lindt, Elmer Candy Corp, Kimmie Candy, Russell Stover are all USA made and not woke. I only buy from them now.
That's pretty interesting, it didn't say whether or not the owners of the cocoa farms are included in the suit. Maybe they're named in a different filing. I hope this works out for these kids. Lord knows the candy companies can afford to pay.
Typically these suits go after the big names in developed countries, because it's the only place they can hope for accountability. If they were able to sue the plantation owner in Mali, I'm sure they would. But no US court would accept a suit against a foreign company with no US ties, for crimes committed overseas.

I love the fact that Nike and Apple also unironically argued in favor of using child slave labor to manufacture their products. u/#polish
Profits before people
15 years off target, 16 years off target actually. The child labor won't stop untill the law suits expose the crime and publish it everywhere.
Ppl gotta also stop buying the product
F*ck. This is horrible. Guess I'm glad we have to buy the spendy stuff for food allergies. Own a slave? Take a bullet. Easy. https://www.slavefreechocolate.org/ethical-chocolate-companies/

Yeah that's what I meant, that the farms would be in a different suit in the domicile country if there's a civil provision to do so.
Sorry, should have been more clear.
Bottom Line-- no money no power. Bankruptcy is the best weapon.
Apple, hmm?
People are more concerned about the ‘enslavement’ of using trained monkeys to pick coconuts than child slavery.
Yea, right? I thought how cool for the monkeys! Especially if they aren't caged, but can be trained to freely pick for the reward.
Researchers found that monkeys 7nderstand money & bartering, so....
Yup, and invented prostitution not long afterwards ?
