The problem is this would be against the law, because it would allow someone to engage in vote buying. If you can prove your vote, then a bad actor could also demand that same proof in order to decide whether to pay out or not.
The game is rigged so that you have to assume the voting machines are trustworthy. If you can prove they are untrustworthy, then that same mechanism can be used for illicit purposes.
This is why a completely new blockchain technology is the only answer if you want to continue with electronic voting.
I've had this conversation before. In my state it is legal to take a pic of your ballot, as long as you do not show it to anyone.l
I imagine, though, that if a law enforcement or valid elections official asked to see it, you may be compelled to show your pic. Otherwise, take it and keep it in your personal records.
Vote in person in overwhelming numbers.
Take pics of your ballot before feeding it in the machine. Take pic of the machine ID number and the control number of your ballot with timestamp.
Become precinct workers. Become poll monitors.
Great idea plus I WANT A RECEIPT OF MY VOTE!!!
