Yeah..... The bible came after the Quran..... Christ died after his people were fighting in the Holy Land. The story came out after Jerusalem was conquered and recaptured by people who didn't know what they were until after the Crusades....
Faith and spirituality are from God, and they're free for life, which is also crimin God
Religion is from man. It is a tax-free moneymaking and psychological manipulation scheme that cruelly capitalizes on spirituality and costs followers ten percent of all their wealth, paid to preachers who act sanctimonious and holy and make you feel guilty as sin...while they secretly fuck little children in the ass.
You are not wrong. That is to say, in some respect, religion is not the essence of faith in God, nor is it the requirement to be with Him. In fact, Christ himself dealt with the problems with religion (even God's chosen) when he admonished the Pharisees for various issues with strict adherence to "religion" instead of what is right and holy.
That being said, there are things that religious bodies do that are beneficial to our faith and spiritual journey. Weekly worship is not necessary to be saved, but it certainly aids your spiritual development when you have a routine of meeting with God. When we meet regularly with others who believe as we do to seek help, advice, or encouragement, it certainly helps us grow stronger in our faith. When we give to others and to those who are on missions to do good for others and spread God's word, we certainly are living out our belief that people need to know the Good News. All of these things can be achieved outside of a building labeled "church", but few actually do. Additionally, being apart of a church that helps everyone accomplish these things together can certainly help everyone keep their hearts and minds set on what matters.
I’ve been treated kindly, humanely, firmly, and with genuine concern by priests, masons, scoutmasters, and pastors my entire life. You should seek the same.
OK, Daddy-O. I'll go back in time and "seek the same" from masons and scoutmasters. You demented freak.
In case you're really a priest, "Fr. Baart", I'm telling you directly to get on your knees right now and repent all the horrific sins you've committed under color of "the cloth." May God have mercy on your wretched soul. You are holier than exactly no one.
Religion and spirituality are not the same.
Believing in God does not mean subscribing to Sunday worship.
All the spirituality in the world cannot match the religion in a few verses of the Bible.
So is the Bible, Vedas, or Tanakh right? Considering the Bible came after the other religions?
Tanakh is the foundation of the Bible. It proves the New Testament. The whole book (Gen to Rev) agrees. None others compare.
Religion and spirituality do not equal Faith in the One True God.
Faith is knowing God and relating with Him. It is what brings life, peace, truth, hope and results.
I firmly believe in God. But I am Daoist, which is less a religion than it is philosophy.
This entire Great Awakening has been a huge affirmation of my spirituality.
I was opposed to another poster pushing that religion must be the end-all
Bible predates Koran by a lot.
You are not educated.
Try reading a book.
I had written this late at night and meant to say Vedas.

Moment of Clarity

Why? Because you're born in a country that believes in such?
Sounds like religious lottery to me.
Sounds like you have a problem with Hindus, Daoists, Catholics, Muslims and anyone who doesn't belong in the same religion.
