And it's not just about time. This part of the country, a storm like this is so unusual, their very infrastructure is not equal to the challenge. Houses are built differently there. Pipes aren't laid as deeply, so they are more subject to freezing. Heating systems aren't installed to Michigan standards, because Michigan cold is almost unheard of in TX. I'd be willing to wager that many of the people there don't own winter coats warm enough to keep them from shivering in their homes while the power is out.
Yeah and probably no thermal blankets or heavy blankets either.
It's way different..and you better believe if it's hard during harsh winter in Michigan when your power goes out (it is) it's even harder in Texas when it's that cold
