Government doesn't do those things. People do. Government should concern itself solely to protecting rights, punishing bad guys. Killing enemies.
We can feed and shelter ourselves.
The government does establish regulations for roads, water cleanliness, and rules on how electricity is deployed. Leaving it to the people alone without regulation is the fastest way to ensure a shitty job.
There has to be certain degree of regulation. Heck, deciding who are bad guys is regulation.
What you are suggesting is we return to the world of no regulation. Read a history book, we do NOT want to go back to the days of the robber barons.
That is just another world where there is absurdly rich few, massive amounts of poor folks, no middle class, and even less justice for the little guy than there is now.
