I've been thinking about it myself. My motivation to stick to them (DS, politics as usual) is stronger than my desire to to help people (general public). I think I am too jaded (and not smart enough!) to run for anything right now. I do like a challenge, though.

I remember being taught in history class that Andrew Jackson was the worst President we had ever had.
Mind you I am as old as dirt and this was before we even had Carter in office.
In retrospect I believe Jackson was good in at least the aspect that he removed the Central Banks from the USA.
