Medicinal essential oils (for example, oil of oregano is very powerful antibiotic, anti fungal, anti-parasitic)

Silver (in a SHTF scenario, crypto is worthless. Silver might not be immediately valuable, but it DOES have inherent value for tech/computers/solar, etc)
An average people eats around 500 pounds of food a year. You can get by with about 160 pounds of rice before your body hates you.
Start simple...Rice, beans, salt, sugar, in bulk from a restaurant store. 50pds rice is around $20, 25pds salt, $15. Get 5 gallon buckets food grade and lids.
Water filters and 2 water sources (lakes/streams). Lifesaver makes a good 5 gallon water filter jug. A couple of good tarps and rope. Good maps of your area.
Find a book that talks about eatable plants in your area. You would be surprised at how much you can eat off the land and your neighbors yards if you know what to look for.
Example: rose hips, curtain pine bark/needles to make flour/tea, yucca plants, wild onions, cactus, thistle, dandelions, etc.
A couple of simple animal traps. A survival bow/arrows.
Medical supplies/antibiotics (get the horse antibiotics from feed stores so you don't have to get a doc's prescription), informative books, maps, a distiller to make alcohol. Knowing how to make your own ammo would be good. Have a have-a-hart rodent trap and hutch on hand so you could capture a couple of live rabbits and have them breed as a food source like they did during the great depression.
Dried food, ammo, guns, land
Gold
Dried beans.

Two pairs of real good boots for hiking, etc.
It’s never to late to have a plan...B and C.
Get OUT of the cities.
That's the best investment you can make.
Get at least a 1/2 tank-full of gas distance (200 miles) away from any major city.
My advice is stock up on multi-vitamins and good long-term foods.
If the SHTF... you don't want to be anywhere near the cities. Also, try to get off the grid as much as possible.
Books on farming
It depends on the country, no? For example: wouldn't want to go to Britain right now.

Also having a rain cistern/well or some alternative means of obtaining water if you are on city water.
