Not sure about the lack of decorations on overcoats but the fact Biden received a 21 gun salute in a format for a foreign dignitary and was not allowed to place the wreath is indisputable evidence that the military does not recognize Biden as POTUS

During the inaug event, there were no overcoats. I could see the collars and Sam Brown belts worn by Marine officers when they're in dress blues. Could see the epaulets as well. No ranks and no ribbons/medals.
Marine uniform regs require rank and medals (or ribbons) and swords, depending on the event and uniform prescribed. Never no medals/ribbons, and never a lack of rank.

Thanks, that's what I thought about the uniforms...Wasn't sure...But the Gun salute and certain protocols are definitely different.
We often see " overcoats" worn by the VIPs. They are Kevlar bullet and projectile resistant outerwear. Nota bene: no head shot protection.
