I swore I came across an article or two from a couple years ago that talks about the creation of Islam and how the catholic church created it, for what specific reason i forget. If anyone else has come across any info on it or can approve/disprove, would be much appreciated. Random thought i just had, but now im more curious..

I've done pretty extensive research into Islam, and I've never come across the theory or claim that it was created by the Catholic church.
Their reaction to it may have turned it against catholicism but I've never heard that they created it.
I read that in an online article a couple years ago, but can't remember where.
Extensive coverage of the roots of Islam in this book. https://www.amazon.com/American-Woman-Living-Egypt-takeover/dp/0692121498/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=cheri+berens&qid=1614707366&s=instant-video&sr=1-1
No, From Robert Spencer on down Islam was created in 6th or 7th Century by Arabs who wanted their own Monolithic religion and were tired of Paganism. Robert Spencer wrote a book recently claiming there is proof that Mohammad never existed. The Brits have a copy of the Koran that predates Mohammad by 20 or 30 years.
I've heard that before somewhere. Whether or not they did, they sure use the hell out of it
