Dude I’ve been trying to redpill my wife about COVID. The mental gymnastics she plays, and she’s not even a Democrat. Me: “How come there’s virtually no flu cases or deaths in the last year? Her: “Because everyone is wearing masks and social distancing.” Me: “If that stuff protects against viruses so well, then why are people still getting the COVID virus?” Her: “Because people have no immunity to the coronavirus like they do the flu.” Me: “If everybody has immunity to the flu, then why do they have a new flu vaccine every year?” Her: “Well the flu gets a new variant every year, so it’s slightly different.” Me: “There are other coronaviruses, though. The common cold is a coronavirus. This variant is ‘slightly different’.” Her: “Yes, but it’s just different.” Me: “How?” Her: “Idk, it just is! People don’t have the antibodies for it.”
And we just circle around like that for a couple more minutes before I finally give up. I’ve told her how the number of deaths this year in the US is the lowest it has been in 10 years, I told her how the data shows far fewer people died of the leading causes of death this year than normal, I even showed her news articles and such where car accident and gun shot deaths are being reported as COVID deaths. Thankfully she has no intentions of getting the vaccine.
Covid-19 virus has a prophylactic effect against contracting influenza. It's actually GOOD for you, Change my mind. Kek!

Lol my sides
You are trying to persuade.Do not try to persuade if you don't want actual beliefs hardened. Show reasons to doubt but not persuade yourself.
And: what you wanted to achieve really ?
This person is smart, my advice is to listen to this advice or you will just make an enemy. Stand together, not divided.
I figured asking questions would get her to question the narrative, but she really doesn’t believe the government could be as bad as people say. I want her to wake up so we can be better prepared if shit hits the fan, but I don’t think it’ll happen. I will definitely take your advice though, thank you!
Shit IS hitting the fan,so for example give her news about Bidet executive order dismantling operations against paedophiles. Do not press her yourself however.
Lordy if I didn't know better I would think you were married to my wife's twin sister????? but she only has a couple of brothers.
Ask her how it worked to end the flu for places that didn’t wear masks and distance. Not all countries did. Also there are plenty of studies from around the world that show when masks started and the rise in cases after. Cv19 is the flu IMO.
It's reading shit like this that makes me so happy I am not married to someone that needs red pilling. I'd fucking lose it.
I tell ya man. She says she doesn’t care about politics (she doesn’t ever vote), but she loves to play devil’s advocate whenever I bring it up. And since I was wrong about the election being overturned before Biden took over, now she doesn’t entertain anything I bring up.
