Reject the null. Prove a hypothesis true AND ALSO prove that it is not untrue. The provided info only proves what was said is true, but no one has yet proved that it is not untrue. That's where 'doing your own research' would fit in there.
Indeed. An example: I have a medical device that's producing an error. I check circuit A and find that it is not energized, so perhaps that's where the error originates. I replace circuit A and find that I have not fixed the error. Why? Because I didn't also prove that it's not untrue by checking another section of the device to see if the problem originated from before circuit A, cause as it turns out, switch B, which comes before circuit A, was damaged and is the component that needed to be replaced.
Long story short, don't assume that a conclusion is correct unless the evidence has also accounted for the possibility of an incorrect conclusion.
I'm reading all your writing....links dont lie...proof is proof...puzzle pieces are fitting....thanks for your efforts in shining the light on this.

You all have taught me much since I arrived here....I am grateful....? Blessings frens
