When watching South Park I've always seen it as an alternate version of what's happening in real life, when they make shows like this. The last show 'The Pandemic Special' I thought it was pretty good since it was based on a fictional reality.
After he burned down the scientist last episode, I’m skeptical. I feel this is their moment to hold or loose their tegrity. Will they sell out or will they be more right than most people understand, per the norm. Did they buy the TDS, how will they respond now after predicting the cubical treatment of children? I’m super curious.
I can only buy it or not. Would love to hear a review of the episode from someone familiar with the satire genius that southpark hides under pieces of foul mouthed paper.
Love the show to death... they have been on point so many times... but have fallen off lately. Expectations are much lower. They have more or less trashed Garrison's Trump character. It started out hysterical but has deteriorated.
Will they illustrate how lockdowns, masks, etc. have done nothing? What can they do with the vaccine angle... if they present the wrong angle, the gestapo may have the FCC pull the cord on the show.
I hope Randy is holed up on Tegridy farms... bursting with orders for Lockdown Loco and Pandemic Haze.... no mask, no vax, blazing behind his kids as they engage in remote non-learning.
I used to love South Park. I haven't dug into this, but I think they got exposed a while back by someone in the truth movement. Random Rants of Ryan I think? They were digging into some disturbing stuff with Troma films and calling it Tromagate, which had connections to the SP creators. I'm not sure where this ended up. Kinda fizzled when Kappy died I think. And I'm not endorsing this theory. But there must have been enough smoke there to scare me away from the show. I know their first few episodes or pilot episode DID involve kicking babies, AND haven't they been kinda anti-trump, yet pre-Trump it woulda made more sense that Trump would have been exactly a candidate that they would have loved. A candidate that is calling out all the snob elites for their bull. (Remember these two SP guys went on the red carpet mocking these people). So, shady connections + child abuse humor + anti-Trump + Hollywood success and breaks in the business = suspicious.
Really though, when our entire society is corrupted (Hollywood, Corporations, Education, government, medical, etc...), Southpark is probably a net positive next to them. Kinda like a Tucker who is Hunter Biden's friend.
