The "paytriots" were people like Jerome Corsi, who wanted you to pay him to get his lame Q opinions. You don't have to pay X22/Dave for his insights. I've listened for years and I don't buy his stuff, mostly because I don't live in America.
An even bigger difference outright charging for access to the info. X22 doesn't tease us and then tell us to join an exclusive subscription-based channel or buy a book to get the rest of the info.
I'm pretty sure he records it in bits and has some kind of automation / software that puts the ads in, creates the a/b episodes and encodes/uploads. Its just an artifact of the automation. Just my guess though.
