We are currently moving from a red state, to a redder state lol, anyways my current state, while being red and my county very red, still have nearly everyone wearing masks. Our stores for the most part do not even care as our sheriff said he will not enforce the mandate, and yet people still wear them! I pretty much only wore a mask at the hospital for the birth of my child as I couldn't miss that obviously, but other than that I never wear them. Anyways, people always look at weird and Karen's always have a "are you serious" when they see me without a mask. I am quite a confrontational person, but I just ignore it all because I truly feel sorry for these people. So, today my wife and I were down checking out the neighborhood where we are moving and met up with our realtor. She is from the area and knows my stance on current events, so she offered to take us to lunch. We walk into the bar and grill and literally no one, not one person was wearing a mask. It was the most beautiful sight I have seen in months! Our server did walk up with a mask at first, but then removed it once she seen we didn't care. She stood close and looked at the menu with me when I asked a question, sounds stupid but its these types of interactions people are afraid of now and it made things feel normal again!! The bartender ended up taking our table and also had no mask. The best part, there were a few cops having lunch watching bball with friends not at all saying anything about masks. Frens, it was so fucking normal, it felt so damn good.
Shortly after lunch, we had to go to get some appliances for the new house,, so went to a big store. As normal my wife and I walk in with no masks and not one person gave us dirty looks, even if they were wearing a mask! The salesman that helped said the only reason he wore one was because the company made him and even shook my hand! We seen at least 15 other people not wearing masks and it was so different not to either be harassed or looked down upon. Truly glorious my fellow pedes!
Overall, my point is people really are waking up, some more than others in different places. I seriously couldn't believe how different the atmosphere was and it truly made us happy shopping and going out for the first time in over a year!! I just had to share this because this was probably the best day I have had in so damn long, despite the money spent on the appliances ??. But seriously, so glad we decided to move, it feels nice to be treated like a human again without wearing a mask. I know not exactly ground breaking, but for us it was a small miracle we found such a great place to move! God really blessed us getting this house in this market, and I cannot wait to get back to a normal life interacting with people! Alittle long sorry for that but we are winning pedes!!! WWG1WGA
I haven’t worn a mask in almost a month...even if it says to wear one on the door. No one has said anything! The more ppl stop wearing mask...more will too! Great on you Fren!!
This is my thought as well, I just started stop wearing a mask to the places I go and its so freeing. I have always believed in "being the change you want to see" but it was hard to practice that when being afraid of what the social backlash might be, but I don't know I just stopped caring about what others think. Maybe its because I can finally breathe I am thinking straight!
Good shit, keep it up pede. The social backlash is from people that literally have very little to no idea what is going on. Wear no mask with pride, you are a patriot and you are part of the solution!
Good for you. I stopped masking last July when I realized it was all nonsense and amti-science. When anyone offers me one I just say “No thanks!” with a smile and keep walking. When someone stops me and asks me to put one on, I tell them that I am unable to wear a mask safely. Which is true for EVERYONE.
Only been denied entry somewhere three times in 9 months. And I have had three dif people come up and THANK ME at the market for not wearing one and then remove their own. One young store employee confided that he had a brain injury and after I shared some alternative health website links with him, he asked if he could give me a hug. Heck yes! We hugged right there in the aisle, maskless, ignoring the gawkers. Made my week!
If we all take a stand together we would immediately understand that WE ARE THE MAJORITY.
Thats fucking awesome! I forgot to add that I saw a guy I worked with two years ago and haven't seen him since at the big store we went to. He was wearing a mask, but when he saw I didn't have one took it off and then hugged me. We were pretty close as I worked with him for quite a few years, and just had not spoke in a while. It was cool to see his reaction, as if I gave him courage to take it off. So I know exactly how you felt, and its amazing!! Thanks for sharing!
Exactly, I always feel like a few people look at me as if they want to take theirs off. It will happen!!
Send some of that logic to chicago, sigh
Yeah sorry fren, but keep your head up, things will return to normal. As people feel what I did today, it will spread everywhere and in the end we will win! Hang in there wwg1wga!
Where was that? Sounds great fren. I'm in NY. Sucks.
I don't really want to says specifics, sorry, but it truly was great. I am truly sorry you are in New York fren, I know a few people who live there and I have heard some pretty bad stories. As I said to others, keep your head up. Once people start to feel the freedom again, it will spread like the ds wild fires in cali!
Lol
Love it!!
Thank you!!!
What state and town are you in? This Californian would love a vacation to a normal place!
Sorry not going to answer this. But I would seriously think about doing a little research and move. We all probably need to start getting closer together anyways, and leave the tyrannical states.
that’s lame
saying what state you’re in isn’t going to reveal anything to anyone who might be trying to figure out where you are. If they wanted to know, they already know your home address.
Ok
I live in a deep blue state. A few weeks ago, we visited a church in another town—and they have three services. We went to the 9am to find hundreds of people greeting one another, not a mask in sight—no social distancing/no fear, only genuine brotherly love. It was AWESOME! We wanted to cry, it was so beautiful! That week, they had 176 middle school kids come to their mid week youth group. People are hungry for truth, for fellowship. We need each other.
Thats an awesome story pede and very glad to you shared it, thank you! And yes we all need each other. We need to come together, use the knowledge we have gained from q to inform the masses and to unite! Wwg1wga!!
I know this feeling. Two weeks ago, I attended an indoor wedding at my church. There were 200+ people there many without masks. Last Saturday I attended a funeral (sad but good to be able to remember the deceased) at my church and there may have been 250+ in the sanctuary. I looked around and we all commented that this felt normal for the first time in a long time. We are pushing our way back and so many are realizing that it is time to live our lives every day that we have the opportunity.
Amen
Oklahoma?
That's my guess. Red to redder would match the pattern I'm seeing. TX is flocking to OK. Hosing in OK is nuts right now.
No its not those states, but I was unaware of this happening. Texas is such a great state and I have a few friends that love there. Sad to see what is going on down there.
I bought my house in OK in 2017. 35K up so far. I don't know wtf is going on
I haven't worn a mask since once sincere attempt to ease my vet's mind because she'd just have a baby and my dog had an emergency. Since the two-day migraine that resulted, I haven't worn one again. I have liberals in my family in a very red state, and I wanted to have dinner at the family restaurant (a renown seafood restaurant). It was my birthday, and I wanted to celebrate with family. I was told I had to wear a mask. I walked out. Haven't gone back. Will not go back. The one liberal daughter and her sister shamed their mother into getting the jab. Their brother and I were completely against it. She got it anyway.
But I'm going to be honest: unless someone has a new job or has obligations in another state, they should stay in their state and turn it red. We're yelling at the migrants coming up to the border and telling them they need to stay home and fight for their freedoms, but we aren't even doing it in America were doing so doesn't get you killed.
Well tbh I have grown up in a couple of states around me, so really this is not like fleeing on state for another, but rather just returning to where I grew up. But I get what you are saying and I do agree for the most part. There is a very active movement where I currently live and I am apart of it. But I think the most is best for my family, and they come first. I also wanted to buy some land and it was more affordable is other states than my current, just ended up getting a great deal on a great home in a great location so we couldn't pass it up. I will be buying some land separately as there is now plenty affordable all around us. And I will start something there if there is not already, its time for everyone to get active locally.
Going home is never a bad thing. My family has seven generations from our hometown. Both my family and my husband's family are actually founding members of our little hometown and both families are actually in our ninth generation in the state. We stick pretty close to home, so I do count myself blessed to live where I live and have the government I have. My husband and I were very close to buying a home in that blue state I mentioned, but when I was told that they had a mandatory mask mandate even inside, I decided we'd just buy closer to home. The shame of that state is that it's the big cities who control everything. Liberal artist types in one area and big-city liberals in another.
The small island town in our state where we're looking for property a nice condo rental where we usually to stay for a week. When I called during the middle of COVID, I asked about the masks. The woman's response was, "Honey, if you're afraid of COVID, you don't want to come here. Ironically, the only place a mask is required is inside the bank." Right there, I knew I found our second home in the same state. Now, I'm just waiting to see if this Biden-farce will go away before I buy.
Blessings to you and your family.
Thank you and blessings to you and your own as well! We will win in the end, we the people are too powerful! Keep up the good fight!
