I use a shipping container on land for storage. Those things are really strong metal boxes and they are airtight. Can't see keeping people in them at all unless the containers are modified, and modified is difficult if you want them to be stacked with thousands of other containers and still go through the loading and unloading process. I'm going with missiles rather than kids.
