Biden
????
Biden sets history by not giving a SOTU address to a joint session of both Houses in Jan/Feb/Mar of his Presidency.
I will leave this little information dig with the comment that today is 31st MARCH and Biden has only given a solo-presser ONCE in his Presidency. Why no SOTU address??!?!
Do you believe in coincidences?
*edit: corrected to reflect that addresses to a joint session of both Houses in an inaugural year may/are not considered official SOTU speeches
Yeah, I don't remember Trump giving one in 2017. Plus, what would he have to talk about? Not much could be accomplished in just a couple of weeks in office, so it makes sense not to deliver a SOTU the first year. I too wonder where OP got their list...
He didn’t give one in 2017. You are correct. I don’t know why people keep repeating this false info.
While perhaps not considered a SOTU, he did deliver an address to a joint session of the Houses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPWS-CN_Xi0
I've updated the post to be more accurate (also see my post below for more info)
