The do exist but are mostly in Japan, and a few sightings of hornets that looked like murder hornets but weren’t actually murder hornets were spotted in WA in 2017. There are species similar in appearance but without the attack.
TLDR; It was clickbait.
I think it was comms for the Antifa mobilization.

2 of those Japanese hornets can clear out a whole beehive. The bees fight back by vibrating in unison around the hornet cooking it to death.
