In Trump's last remarks as POTUS he said that elements of our economy were set to go up like a "rocketship". He used the word "rocketship" twice. That "rocketship" is going to the moon and I'm going to be on it.
Its very very difficult. The SEC forces these companies (Coinbase, Cashapp, ect) to report. Most of them in the US will require you to upload some type of ID verification to buy/sell with USD. So the entry and exit into the crypto world is pretty heavily locked down. Also keep in mind most blockchains are public and readable by anyone. (Monero is an exception to this rule)
With VPNs and foreign exchanges you can run trades without too much interference, but getting in and out of USD is still a bitch.
There are ways to buy with cash in person, but I have not used any of those methods myself.
First thing is to understand BTC. Go on youtube and watch the "Master CLass" with Michael Saylor on the Preston Pysh channel. It's 2 hours but necessary to get up to speed.
I second that; I have a small amount that accumulated back in around 2012(?) while I left the computer on and contributed to the mining. My life got very unstable for some years after that and recently I opened the app on my Mac; had to update the core. The HD is only 639G. I deleted as much as I could; I hope it will eventually download the blocks and I can send it to my Linux system as MINE. Mac has been on for a couple of weeks and is halfway done downloading the blocks. Pathetic. I tried to get the BTC program to operate in a roomy SSD flash drive but it would not.
Buying and Holding!

Remember the cryptic Don Jr tweet about the WallStreetBets mascot looking like Trump?
I do remember that. And if you haven't seen this, let me get your opinion on this image while we're at it (check out Trumps left hand):

i learned my lesson with BTC. had it when it was 5k... dumped it cause i got scurred.
I am not a financial advisor, but I am telling you, throwing $50-$100 at BTC every month has been the smartest financial decision I have ever made.
makes sense.
good call.
Is there a way to do that without broadcasting MY business....i.e....no hometown bank involved?

Until it is worth ZERO - You know Q will take it out and it could happen in a blink of an eye
What are you talking about?
I bought most at 5k .... tried to pull a fast one around 15k and sold about half....
expecting it to keep going down...
never did.
Had to jump on it much later on...
Not playing with bitcoin anymore... JUST HODL!!!!
I'm pretty savvy with finances but haven't ventured to BTC, how do I get started? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Me too...lost a lot. I always felt like the government would ban it and it would crash....the volatility made me lose sleep for a year
What is HODL?
"hold" misspelled. crypto inside lingo.
Hold On For Dear Life
Ah! Thank you so much.
Dont sell. Hold
Thank you very much.
Heres a different crayon for you to chew on.
Q posted about "dead cat bounce" several times. This is a pretty specific stock market term.
Only other time I've heard this used 'in the wild' has been in the gme subs this last week.
And I'm seeing it used multiple times there to describe the $GME situation.
Def worth looking into
Link to speech if you know which one? I heard it before but can't find the right one
