The kid turned, pulled his empty hands out of his pockets, put his hands up, got shot within 0.5 seconds of doing so. it's pretty clear in the frame by frame. I don't see a gun either, judging by the way the cop approached immediately after shooting I don't think he thought he was a deadly threat and instantly regretted it, hence the crying and friendly demeanor when trying to bring him back.
Sometimes a split second decision is the wrong decision. rip
Does it justify rioting and looting?
Hell no
But here we go again with the help of the mainstream media we get to turn a tragedy into an even bigger one -.-
Kid had a gun! After cop is done with CPR he walks around to the back side of the fence and shines his flash light on the gun. Looks to me like the kid ditched the gun then quickly turned and was shot. Shooting was justified 100%. In the article it also states that the kids hand tested positive for gun residue.. Sucks that he was so young, and running with the wrong crowd.
The officer told him to drop the gun and put his hands up. According to what you wrote and what the video apparently shows, he did just that. If the kid had already ditched the gun, like you said, BEFORE he turned around and put his hands up, it would not be a justified shooting in the eyes of the law. The kid should never have run from the cops. He'd probably still be here if he would've just thrown the gun down when the cops pulled up. I can't imagine being in that cop's shoes. Prayers to both families. RIP.
Just over 800 milliseconds from the time the officer saw the gun in his hand until the kid spun around and raised his hands. There was no way for the officer to tell whether or not he was still holding the gun. Sorry I was wrong.
I love how everyone is so quick to judge when they have never been in the situation before. You can train all you want but never really know how a person is going to react in the situation. A lot of times taking time to think will get you killed.
Hello shill! Nice of you to come out of hiding just in time for breaking news such as this. What a perfect response you have given. Now you should probably go back to holding that BLM sign on a street corner. That is much more useful than being here, handing out useless responses. Especially considering the fact that you probably already consider yourself "woke".
Did they recover a gun at the scene? Just watching the video a couple time in slow mo I do not see a gun.
I am not saying he was not just moments ago banging and ditched the gun but I cannot seem to make out a gun in the video?
Also he cop totally man handles the first dude he runs by and shoves him to the ground.
There's a gun against the back of the fence at 5:33 on the first body worn camera footage.
Ok I see it. Good eyes.
ty ill check that out.

I mean I do not agree with this at all.
You gotta remember black people have never had the right to vote. I just cannot believe that they keep voting for the same shit.
Their elections have been rigged for 5 decades.
If elections were clean I bet these communities would vote way different.
What? You think I am not red pilled enough because I think all black people are not bad?
Sorry but I have met plenty of black people during my life that were fine folks.
