When I was a kid, I read stories from the Bible with my family just like many other kids. And I had questions.
For instance: If Adam and Eve never ate the fruit, then they would never need a Savior, and so Jesus would never need to come to reclaim mankind from sin. So why didn't Satan just leave Adam and Eve in the garden for all eternity, thus frustrating the whole necessity of Jesus Christ to begin with?
Or when Jesus was on the earth, why didn't Satan just stay out of his way? If Jesus never hung and bled from the cross, he could never redeem mankind. The worst possible result in Jesus' life was for everyone to bow down and worship him. He would never get to demonstrate his love for fallen man.
So many things like this occur in the Bible. Satan's attempt to change Job into a creature that would curse God and wish to die only ended up bringing Job closer to God, and to reveal more of his mind and will to mankind. David's Goliath brought David from a shepherd to a leader in Israel. Canaan's wickedness gave rise to justification for God to purge the land and give it to Israel.
In so many cases, if Satan just stopped being Satan for 5 minutes, God's plan could've been frustrated.
And you can look throughout the world for more examples of insanity, even in this modern age. Had the Japanese not bombed Pearl Harbor, not only would Japan become a dominant power in the Pacific, but Hitler may have won WWII. Had Hitler not invaded France, he would've only had to deal with the Russians and not the allied forces. And so on and so on...
The reason why I tell you this is because you who have come to understand God's love, even in part, will find the thought process of people ensnared by Satan's influence to be mystifying. That said, it is imperative that you understand it. It is not possible for evil people to understand good people, but good people can and should understand evil people. (The darkness cannot comprehend the light.)
The first barrier to understanding evil is admitting to yourself that evil exists. The exact cause of evil isn't important for this discussion, only that something somewhere is evil and it is influencing people to do evil things. Whether you blame George Soros or Satan for the evil in the world is really not very important, but you must have a clear understanding that there is evil and it is very real.
The next barrier is understanding what motivates evil. Why does evil do what it does? "Good" thinking is constructive. "I want to drive a Lamborghini, so I am going to work hard and build an ice cream store that everyone loves to bring their family to". "Evil" thinking is destructive. "If I can't drive a Lamborghini, then NO ONE CAN!"
The story of the baby in King Solomon's court is very enlightening. There were two women living together (probably prostitutes) and they each had a son. One of the sons died, and both women claimed the survivor as their own. When they were brought to King Solomon, he ordered the baby be cut in two and each half given to each woman. As a result, one woman was delighted and eager to see the baby killed, while the other begged King Solomon to give the baby to the other rather than kill it. Obviously, the woman who begged for the child's life was found to be the mother in this case. (Even if she wasn't, she was the only woman deserving to be called mother!)
This destructive impulse, this desire to hurt and destroy, is the true motivating factor behind all of the world's political philosophies except one. It is the true motivating factor behind much of the business world -- and when you see it, you will be disgusted by it. (If you do know businessmen who are creative rather than destructive, you should hold on to them.)
Be careful, though. Satan would love to deceive us and confuse the destructive impulse with justice. Justice is destruction done in accordance with the law, to reconcile some evil already done. IE, execute the murderer as he has murdered and life is required for life. Restore the property (and then some) to the victim at the expense of the thief. Justice is the last resort when there is evil and nothing can be done to rectify the situation.
That's why you hear angry mobs marching down the street destroying everything shouting "Justice!" But there is no justice in harming innocent people, or taking your vengeance upon a group of unrelated people. That is just pure evil.
Keep this in mind. The end game for the evil elements in our society is not victory. They do not want to "win". They want to destroy. They want to destroy everything they can. They might lie to themselves and tell them it is a precursor to creation, or justice, or some other pablum, but at the heart is the desire to see the world burn.
And that should explain most of what the deep state and cabal is doing right now. They are not trying to preserve themselves, or create a situation where they can rule.
They just want to kill everyone.
Excellent post!
I always understood it as the devil and his demons didn't really understand God's plan. Sure they heard the prophesies, they sort of know there is a plan, they think they get what is going on but they really don't. Idk if they were kept from fully understanding the truth or just couldn't because they are against God. But either way they couldn't really grasp what was really happening.
It's like when Jesus died and Satan and the demons celebrated. They thought they won, its over. When actually Jesus had just conquered sin and death. They know they will be defeated they just aren't sure how or when and they keep thinking they can outsmart God and His divine plan. Basically they're clueless idiots who will never give up trying lol.
Just my take on that part anyway.
I think the experience we read in the New Testament where the devils knew better than the disciples who Christ was sheds a lot of light here. I wouldn't doubt that the demons and devils could recite the entire Bible from memory. Did they understand it? Perhaps, or perhaps not. Either way, they chose to behave a certain way that made salvation for them impossible.
As Christ said, the only unforgivable sin is to deny the Holy Ghost. We can debate what that means or why that is, but the fact that there is something that cannot be forgiven even by God means that the possibility exists for absolute, irredeemable evil in this world.
Beautifully written. Thank you. I only wish you would take it a step further - perhaps in another post - to discuss overcoming evil.
You overcome evil through Christ, who has already gained the victory.
You cannot defeat evil by becoming evil yourself.
That's not to say you cannot execute justice.
What happened in the garden was God allowing humans their free will. Free will, the ultimate freedom, so often misused and misunderstood. God's never-failing honoring free will is why in talking to The Lord it is best to state it is our desire that God assist with aspects of our lives. We are exercising our free will, in asking. And as children of God, we have the right to ask, even command, angels to go forth into the world of man, and help us.
To your first question about Satan tempting Adam and Eve:
The fall of the angels occurred because Lucifer and all of the angels were shown God’s plan for the creation of earth and the creation of man who was “made in God’s image”.
Lucifer was not overly impressed because Jesus was half human, but conceded he was also God, so he could possibly serve Jesus. However it was the idea of serving Mary, fully human, that was anathema to him and he said “I will not serve”. In that moment he was cast into hell and due to his ‘brilliance of intellect’ was able to convince 1/3 of the angels to take up battle against God.
Angels have the ability to see the eternal consequences of their choices and yet the fallen angels still chose not to serve humans. (This explains some of their hatred for us).
Humans, on the other hand, make bad choices, but since we do not have the capability to see future consequences of our actions, God allows for us to be forgiven and given the chance to amend our lives.
So Lucifer/Satan’s first bad choice was refusing to “serve” humans.
Upon seeing the first man and woman in the Garden of Eden, Satan sought to destroy the creatures whom God loved so much.
Satan’s interference in the Garden was born out of jealousy (of humans) and vengeance (against God). All of his choices flowed out out his first choice “I will not serve.”
To your second question about why didn’t Satan just stay out of Jesus’ way?
After this realization they withdrew from the foot of the cross and flung themselves back into hell where they planned and plotted for a thousand years to destroy mankind, the creatures who God loved so much. Their hatred for the woman, Mary, who would bear the Christ child, extended that hatred towards all humans.
The jealousy Satan has for humans is beyond human comprehension. (Sibling jealousy gives us a shadow of a glimpse of how destructive this can be.) We are beautiful, we are ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ and not only are we made in God’s image, He sent His only Son into the world to save us by dying on a cross.
Satans hatred of humans extends to this day in transgenderism, sexual deviation along with a multitude of assaults on human dignity.
To the question you did not ask:
God, sees the universe from the ‘Block Universe View’ in that He is able to see all time at once. God, in His Omniscience, knew He would need to create His only Son to save us because His immutable justice demanded the sacrifice.
Time is not linear, it really does exist all at once.
Being only human, we are not able to see the whole picture that is time/space. We only walk through the time/space picture in a linear fashion, but we do have glimpses to the scenery that surrounds us. This primordial soup that we are in is responsible for many unexplained phenomena, such as ESP, because we sense it even though we cannot see it.
Whatever Q is, it is becoming more obvious as ‘time’ passes that Q is somehow able to reveal the future before it happens and thus proves his past posts were correct. I do not believe Q is Omniscient, but there is something oddly familiar about the way Q writes.
Like the Bible...which is the ultimate example of “future proves the past” in that in the New Testament Jesus fulfills 300 prophecies from the Old Testament.
Never has there been, nor will there ever be a more accurate prophet than Jesus Christ. Based on just these accurate prophecies alone one should believe Jesus is not only the Son of God, but that God’s hand was present in the writing of the Bible.
Jesus spoke in parables, that are indirect (script)ures which must be solved.
“I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world”
“Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given’”
In today’s time not everyone will understand or be able to solve the mysteries in Q’s posted scripts that have been given to us. But as we study, research and walk through linear time we are, with perseverance, able to see the hand of someone guiding us towards the truth of our point in time.
At some time in the future I will write on “words have multiple meanings” and “mathematical improbabilities”.
Godspeed Fren.
We don't know what Jesus wanted, except to fulfill the will of the Father. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus has inherited his Father's glory, and furthermore, that God intends to bestow upon us this great gift if we overcome through Jesus.
I don't know if the desire to become like God is evil in itself. ("Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.") Certainly, the way Satan and his hordes are going about it will not have the intended effect.
This is a great take on this subject. Especially about justice.
Pretty much
And the root of all evil is the desire to be like God -- but apart from God. So, where God creates, evil destroys. Evil is never satisfied. Evil is never sated. Pride comes before the Fall and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
You're missing key elements as to why the Japanese bombed pearl harbor and why Hitler invaded France. You're demonstrating the effect of culture conditioning or rather, "the winners write the history books". I suggest you research "The greatest story never told" and you'll learn that we don't always have all the information we believe we have.
I admit that from the Japanese and German perspectives what they did made a lot of sense. What I'm trying to show is that had they chosen a less belligerent route it may have ended quite differently. Certainly, the forces that pull nations into war with each other are not godly.
99% of humanity wants to live in peace. There's evidence of this countless times throughout history in warfare. My favorite is the story of Christmas Day during WWI when the soldiers met out in no-man's-land and celebrated. They weren't enemies, just being told what to do by their governments.
