The best way to deflect the situation is to remain totally calm and allow the other person to rant and rave. That way, the other person is the one that comes off as crazy to everyone else.
I think the woman outside the elevator is being a passive aggressive bitch. Yes the white woman is hysterical and in fear of nonsense, but she is clearly having a psychological meltdown. And that could happen with anyone, even before Covid. It’s pretty twisted to take out your phone and start filming someone in that state while taunting them, knowing you are making the situation worse, probably in the hopes of going viral so everyone gets to laugh at the dumb white bitch.
I don’t think Covid exists and I think the corporate media is evil and full of lies. So I am more likely to agree with the beliefs of the woman outside the elevator. But she is being cruel so if I was there I would have told her that and made her step back and let the woman out. None of this torment is necessary. Yes, Covid is nonsense but tormenting someone who believes in it because they are naive and overly trusting does not help. If anything that woman just drove her even further into her panic and fear.
Watch it again. The other woman was inside the elevator with the hysterical woman. They had rode the elevator together to that point. The hysterical woman wanted the other woman to get out of the elevator because she was too afraid to pass her on the way out -- never mind the fact she was dumb enough to stand there and argue with her for a couple of minutes, which only increased the amount of time she was in the elevator breathing the same air as the other woman. If she was really that frightened, then she should have immediately made a beeline out of the elevator instead of remaining there for several minutes virtue signalling.
Good on you for staying calm.
