If we have a decent judge with standards, the Chauvin case will be dismissed. With all the pressure and violent threats coming/came from, blm/antifa, 'celebrities', politicans, and Biden (the 'president'), if things didn't go the way they wanted it to.....There's no doubt that there was EXTREME bias influence coming from all the wrong sources.(Vote guilty or else....) Giving 27 million to Floyd's family BEFORE trial was immature and a reasoning to try and admit guilt for Chauvin.

Can he do that after a guilty verdict has been given?
Chauvin's lawyer will likely file a motion for a new trial on those grounds. The judge could approve it, but I think he wants to get rid of the hot potato. I assume it's on to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. 10 of the 11 judges on the 8th are republican appointed.
Thanks for the correction, I didn't really follow the trial that closely and was going by something I read elsewhere.
its going to be appealed, the appeals court if they follow the rule of law will do it
This is how I thought it worked, thank you.
Whatever happens this will be ongoing for awhile
only if he has a death wish
Yes. The judge can vacate the jury's verdict and issue a directed verdict from the bench instead. Though I think he already read the verdict into the record, so I don't know if this is still possible.
Got it, I didn’t know they could do that. Would be cool if he did, but it might make the riots worse than waiting for the appeal process.
