Maricopa County election audit is underway https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/arizona-senate-republicans-begin-months-long-2020-election-audit
See you tomorrow.
Given he had a mob of people screaming at him he was probably concerned for his own and his ROOKIE officer's safety.
Remember the guys with him were training, thus he had to have eyes everywhere and be ready for anything!
I guess a critical aspect of all future police training is going to have to be role playing, acting and avoiding false prosecution. He needed to do something theatrical for the cameras, maybe loudly plead with St George to stop resisting, etc. Not sure how to not appear burnt out and disgusted by the job, when you are probably deeply tired of wrestling drugged out losers over petty crimes, when you know they will be locked up for less time than you spend on paperwork. Chauvin appeared disinterested in Floyd's well-being, and I'm sure he was. This presented poorly on camera.
so, maybe I talked myself into agreeing with you. Probably I just wanted the role playing to make myself feel better. I do think it's going to be important for cops to be actors in the future.
This is the problem. We prioritise needing to see emotion over thinking about the facts and circumstances.
I think they chose a photo and angle where his face looked most detached, but again, when people shoot enemies in the MIL like snipers their faces are the same because they are CONCENTRATING. It doesnt mean they dont feel bad about what is happening etc. But media just creates a narrative and now the poor guy has to spend the rest of his life in jail for just trying to deal with a hectic situation, effectively by himself.
