They had a citizens police academy 20 years ago in my city.

One night on the street with these guys gave me a whole new outlook on what they have to put up with.

The uncertainty, the stress, the danger, the mentally ill people...the exhaustion. At 7 am at the end of a 12 hour shift their last call was to steer traffic around a dying dog someone had hit on our main city street

I slept for another 12 hours.

20 years and I still think about all the things I saw that one night...imagine their lives. Prayers for them.

And full audits of their finances and everyone in their immediate circle every 6 months while in public office and for an additional 5 years after leaving office. Let's see who gets rich off of politics then!

My “uncle” (close family friend) is a retired sheriff’s deputy for a county near us. Went on a ride along with him and one of my cousins when we were in high school. We pulled up to the intake area at the station because he had to drop something off, and as we pulled in he yelled “get DOWN! Apparently a violent perp was in the same area being led into the station. I will never forget that evening. Cops are a different breed, God bless them.

This patriot is full of fantastic common sense ideas.

Then, have only black cops patrol black neighborhoods.

Also, give all politicians security background checks and fail them if they ever had anything to do with socialism, communism, crime of any kind period. They get zero access unless they are vetted like any military person would be.

Then make them ride along for up to 40nhours. Make them stand a line against an antifa protest too.
