Bullshit. Complete Bullshit.

MAD is based on nuclear weapons. All the other weapons you mention will escalate to nuclear weapons being used, which is where MAD acts as the deterrent.

modern weapons are capable of completely preventing an opponent from launching an effective counter-attack

More bullshit. Explain how sub-launched nuclear missile counter attacks can be prevented.
