They told me to wear my mask or go home. I told them to make it formal and terminate me. They sent me home and said HR will contact me. Before I was out of the parking lot the GM called and said HR will allow a medical exemption. I can't go back. They will nit pick until they can make a case for termination or push me until I leave. Working something less stressful out now.

I agree but am able to transfer to the corporate location that ironically doesn't require masks. I'm very modest but kind of a big deal. 3 directors are already trying to decide who gets me. As far as the masks Nazis. Corporate HR is going to visit the location. Probably trying to figure out why I'm willing to add 200 miles to my daily commute.
‘I’m very modest, but kind of a big deal’ ??
I know it sounds stupid but I always try to give credit to others and keep a low profile. I do high quality work on very luxurious jets. I transfered to my current location only 20 miles from home after we purchased it. Many did not like to see me go. And they are very excited I'm coming back. Still as humble as ever but didn't feel the need to bore someone with the long explanation. Glad you got a laugh though. Take care.
That shit is funny?
Oh, I know one of those
True talent is a big deal.
Few put their integrity into their work. Those who do, lead and inspire others by simply doing what they do. They are the most valuable asset a company can hope for
Thank you. You get it
Ron Burgundy, is that you?
Well if you were a man, I’d punch you. Punch you right in the mouth.
Makes me think of that Tom MacDonald quote:
"... I've got a big big ego // and a big d*ck too!"
Its amazing how much time and resources HR will waste on new training or "visiting" other businesses to learn new secrets to make their company's employees more miserable.
No joke. Its much cheaper and better for morale to keep the employees that you have, versus trying to find new ones that might not do the job right.
But HR was never known to be smart.
Ot lying its really hard to find people.
Well played! Hopefully others there will follow your lead and if you decide to chuck it all you'll probably add 20 years to your life.
And "Corinthian leather" :)
