When trying to wake someone up, Ive found it helpful to avoid spouting facts at them instead framing everything in questions and end with something like -- wow thats weird isnt it, or man thats quite a coincidence.
The truly blind recoil at facts thrown at them and their defenses go up. You can not have a productive conversation with someone like that.
But question the narrative as though you are coming from a position similar to them and you may get results as the mouse begins its way around the wheel in their head.
I also have found it effective that when speaking to a compatriot who wholeheartedly agrees with your position to do so loudly so that others can overhear but not engage in the conversation. Keep it factual and avoid the stuff they can easily dismiss without digging further like adrenochrome or the luciferain pedophile death cult. I use this in stores everyday.
You need to help these people see, you cant force them to see. And you will convert them forever if they think it is their idea.
Yep, the socratic method is always the way to go. Gets people to use more of their own thought patterns instead of feeling like someone is trying to think for them. Like you said, you want it to see as though it's their idea, not yours.
