Heads up!
Gas shortage incoming! Was just at a gas station in Gadsden, Alabama and the clerk told me to fill up now. They're down to 500 gal. and there are going to be no more deliveries due to the pipeline shutdown(Ransomware hack) and shortage of drivers.
They have no idea when they will be getting anymore. Just FYI.........
Gasoline Shortage in the Southeastern U.S., just in time for the start of Hurricane Season. :>(
Somebody better fix that problem quickly. When two clouds meet and begin spinning... hundreds of thousands of people may need to evacuate. Remember that late May and early June is LOCAL hurricane season. Often the big storms form in the Gulf, spin up quickly and there isn't more than a few days notice.
?
Another reason why our infrastructure sucks. We haven't learned our lesson after the 1970's and STILL consolidate our resources into as few places as possible, making it a ripe opportunity for a central failure point and a resulting national destabilization of commerce.
This cyber-attack smells hugely fishy!!!
Can someone explain what exactly the ranasomware compromised? How can you not get gas from the pipeline? Is there not a manual override?
Someone clearly never saw the movie Hackers.
The next phony shortage...first microchips, then wood, steel, now this.
In DC $2.91. In PA $3.05
Psssh
CA at $4 are you guys even trying?
Pa near me is $3.09–it jumped in a day from $2.99!?
I'm in Beaver. You'd think such rises more likely in Pgh or Philly.
Great. There's actually no shortage just a supply chain thing. That way they can up the gas cause memorial day is on its way and they don't want people traveling. Just filled my tank up today. I live near a state line and so I go to the other state cause their gas is always cheaper. Cost me $10 more to fill up my tank than it did just a few months ago. If I stayed in my state probably would have been $15 more.
True. Its a contrived shortage.
Also I lived in NY during hurricane Sandy. First they told us there was going to be a gas shortage. Then people started buying triple quadruple times the amount of gas they normally buy. Then the prices increased to over $4 a gallon and they were rationing the gas. $10 limit odds and evens every other day. That was barely enough gas to get me to work. Had to call into work a few times had no ride and was a 3 hour bike ride.
Thats in my neck of woods. You trucking or live our here?
How are you getting gas at 266 a gallon. What a great deal
Im so glad that I installed a propane system on my 1976 K5 Blazer a few years back.......for this very reason. When gas hits an unaffordable price or becomes "short", I just click it over to propane on-the-fly. Can even hook up and run off of a BBQ tank if I need to.
Right now I can get 110 octane propane from Tractor Supply for $2.60/gallon. Too bad they only make these dual-fuel systems for carburated vehicles.
I'm in the habit of keeping my vehicle topped off. Luckily it's a gas sipper so I think I can manage awhile.
How long does gas stay good when stored with Stabil?
Thanks
