Don’t do that. FBI says they’ll arrest people for fakes. It is against HIPAA laws for anyone to ask you to divulge medical information about yourself though, so just tell them they can’t even ask you if you have or not.
That's not really what HIPAA is about. I've read it.
The confidentiality section ("c") is about heatlh care providers and health insurance companies or Medicare transferring data between each other for billing purposes.
You are right. Folks still have a right to privacy, they just shouldn't attempt to justify it with HIPAA.
How will they know if its fake if they can't ask... ?
