I'm so thankful to have had my eyes opened to the truth and 2020 will always be a great year for me. This pandemic, in some strange and unbelievable way, helped me.
ps= In 2020, I also sort of adopted a stray cat(or he adopted me, probably, to better say) so that was a bonus.
Damn these cats own us now, don't they? I call mine the prince(as nickname, not name) bcs he rules the house now XD
Hahaha xD I can imagine why LOL
I moved into a house and a cat adopted me. He showed up on my pool deck and was just always out there lounging. He was definitely living outdoors, was all skin and bones, and he did start begging for food. I felt for him and fed him outside for a couple months. Finally, I decided to keep him and took him to a vet and got him his shots and license. Now 6 years later, this orange 12 year old cat sleeps on my bed, plays and runs around and he's a big chubby happy cat. But he is still a wild boy and likes to bring me the tail half of a mouse about twice a week. Mr. Gato adopted me and i'm so happy he did.
My wife brought home a rescue cat. Smartest cat! Used to climb to the top of doors and pounce on our other cat. He used to play fetch with rolled up tinfoil balls and once I was cleaning out the gutters and he climbed up the ladder. Good times until he bit (in self defense) my little daughter. Then my wife wanted him out. By his personality I'd swear he used to play jazz piano in a New Orleans dive bar in a past life... haha.
My uncle used to have a husky and kept her mostly outside cuz she was wild at heart.
Wolf came by and impregnated her. I helped raise that wolf/husky, took more after the wolf than the momma.
He'd bring me all manner of dead gifts and put them right on my bed. That's a good pup, lol. Your story reminded me of that, your kitters bringing you gifts in the same way. It means they love ya, of course.
Neighbor ended up shooting and killing him, though. Thought he was a wild wolf messing with his dogs. I miss ya, Ma'ingaan.
I moved into a new house, and the owners decided to leave one of their cats with me because their other animals didn't get along with her.
We've only been there for about a month, but she's starting to warm up to my family and other pets. She seems pretty happy. My girlfriend and I felt terrible for her because her previous owner's pets would beat on her all the time! :(
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff! I'm the servant of two cats.
And now it's time for some nice Cat Haiku! Keep in mind, cats can't (or won't) count, so....haiku is problematic:
Dogs have Masters - Cats have Staff A dog may look at you and think, "You feed me, you pet me, you shelter me, you love me -- You must be god!" But a cat looks at you and thinks, "You feed me, pet me, you shelter me, you love me -- I must be god!"
